The air passes through all six stages in turn.
Air leaving the machine passes through six stages of filtering, which keeps odours down in the waste room. There are no carbon filters to change and no consumables to reorder. It is also quiet, about as loud as a library (under 35 dB).

Low power bills, every cycle
A 100 kg machine uses about 23 to 30 units of electricity per cycle, the same units on your monthly bill. Its jacket heating warms the whole chamber gently instead of burning hot in one spot, which saves power and protects the compost. You can track power use on your phone. Larger and smaller machines use more or less.

Common questions
What does Innovus Machine Builders make?
Innovus makes four product lines at its manufacturing unit in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu: the organic waste composter, the organic waste shredder, the segregation table and the screw feeder. The flagship composter turns food waste into compost, and the other machines prepare and move the waste. More than 100 machines have been sold, in India and abroad.
Is an organic waste composter the same as an organic waste converter (OWC)?
Yes. Organic waste composter, organic waste converter and OWC all name the same kind of machine, one that turns food waste into compost on site. The Innovus composter does it in a sealed, heated chamber in 18 to 24 hours, depending on the model, and runs on heat and air without an inoculum or starter culture.
How does the composter turn food waste into compost?
Staff sort the food waste, shred it into small pieces and load it into the composter with a measure of sawdust. A sealed, jacket-heated chamber then composts it in 18 to 24 hours, depending on the model. One button opens the front doors and the compost comes out into trays.
What size machine does my site need?
Composters are sized from 50 kg to 1 ton of food waste a day, and several machines can share one waste room for larger sites. Tell us about your site and we estimate your daily waste and suggest a model. We confirm the size after a site visit and a free 3D scan of your waste room.
What comes with the machine, and how long is the warranty?
Every machine has a 2-year warranty covering function and complete spares, with a tool kit provided at handover. The full package with a composter also includes the segregation table, racks and crates, feeding steps, weighing machine, sawdust, transport and commissioning. An annual maintenance contract (AMC) is available after the warranty.
Where do you supply and service machines?
Machines are built at the Innovus manufacturing unit in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and have been supplied to India, the UAE and Canada. Our own technicians travel from Coimbatore for installation and service visits, including to Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi and Mangaluru. Support guides are on this website in English, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
Can the mobile app control the machine?
No. The app is for monitoring only: it shows the built-in energy meters and the machine's status. You start and run the composter from the touch panel on the machine, and its tower lamp shows the machine's state from across the room.
